Accessibility Statement
Cooper Therapeutic Services is committed to providing an environment that is accessible to all clients, employees, and visitors. We believe that everyone deserves the same opportunity to access our services with dignity and independence, and we work to meet the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR).
Our commitment
We are committed to:
Identifying, preventing, and removing barriers to accessibility for people with disabilities
Meeting the accessibility requirements set out under the AODA on or before the required deadlines
Providing goods and services in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities
Giving people with disabilities the same opportunity to access our services and, where needed, providing alternative ways for them to do so
Website accessibility
We aim to align this website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA, the standard referenced by Ontario's accessibility regulations. This includes efforts such as:
Text that can be resized without loss of content or function
Sufficient colour contrast between text and background
Images with descriptive alternative text
Content that can be navigated using a keyboard alone
Clear, consistent headings and page structure
Accessibility is an ongoing process. If you encounter a page or feature that is difficult to use, please let us know using the contact information below.
Accessible customer service
When communicating with a client with a disability, we will do so in a manner that takes their disability into account. We welcome the use of assistive devices, service animals, and support persons within our office. If a public health or safety measure requires temporary restriction of a support person's access, we will notify clients in advance where possible and offer alternative arrangements.
We will notify clients in advance if a facility or service that people with disabilities rely on is temporarily unavailable, including the reason, expected duration, and any alternatives.
Feedback process
We welcome feedback on how we provide accessible services. Feedback helps us identify barriers and improve. You can share feedback, ask a question, or request information in an accessible format through any of the following:
Email: scooper@rogers.com
Phone: 905-971-4270
In person: at any of our office locations
We will acknowledge receipt of your feedback along with any resulting actions, using the method of communication you prefer.
